Product Warranty outside of origin country

Hello WD Community,
I purchased a WD My Passport Ultra in Vietnam since last summer, and now I’m currently studying in Canada. I’d like to use the warranty service.
When I use the warranty check:

  • If I choose Canada, the status will be “Out of Region”
  • If I choose Vietnam, the status will be “In Limited Warranty”
    Does this mean that I have to go back to Vietnam to use the warranty service? Are there any ways to do the warranty in Canada?
