Product returns

I just got an RMA # to return a defective drive. The site says to ship the drive in its original enclosure/plastic housing (without having been opened or dismantled, along with the power adapter).

Since I no longer have the original packaging (who knew the drive woukld fail ahead of time?) how am I supposed to accomplish this?

Hello,

You don’t need the original box to ship the drive back. What this statement means is that you should not open the external enclosure since this will void the warranty on the drive.

The return information is very specific that I have to use ESD packaging to send the drive back. Is this true? The hard drive I am returning is corrupt. Can I just send it boxed up in a plastic bag?
