Problems with usb harddisk

Hey

I have an Usb Western digital w D5000C032 version.500 gb

I wanted to transfer som files to it. But i get error msg its read only. I tried to check off the read only . But it cant be done. The usb disk is ntfs filesystem, and my laptop is running win 7. How can i fix this?

Go into the device manager find the drive then delete the driver and reboot. That’s how I fixed it on a 2T My Book Essential.
