Just lately when I connect my external HD and turn on the TV a message comes on the screen saying (storage can not aggregate) I can still access the drive but before this happened it used to say scanning device for files I think. If someone has any info on this my e-mail is [Edited]
Try deleting the .wd_tv folder from the drive.
Have done that but no difference, my player is 1st gen wd media
