Im having a problem playing converted mkv files over a wired network.
The files in question were converted from a BD using handbrake. Ive asked on the handbrake forum and after a little discussion I was pointed in the direction of here
The file(s) are on a usb drive, connected to a computer on a base 100 Â network.
If I play the file over the network on a PC its fine - so I dont think its the file as such.
If I play some other 1080p files on same drive on WDTV they are fine too.
If I connect the USB drive to the WD via the USB the file(s) play fine
But when I play files over network they play for around a minute and a half then go into a kinda slow motion and the audio stops.
If its a network problem then I dont get why other files are playing ok
If it was a file conversion problem the I dont get why the files play just fine on pc.
Help !!

You could post the mediainfo of the files.Â

I’m afraid that you cannot compare a software player and a hardware player. Most files will play on a PC and some software is designed to play broken or incomplete files.
