I have been having an issue with my WDTV that I cannot see it appear as a “computer” on my windows 7 machine. I used to be able to recognize the wdtv as a computer and thereby access all the files on the attached hard drive. Something happened a couple of months ago and now it only appears as a media device and i cannot access the attached harddrive.
Another computer in my house running linux can access the files and on my windows 7 machine the firewall is off and have no idea how to fix this problem please help.
