Problem after firmware update

Hi,

I updated the firmware via internet, now I have a strange issue:

when the WDTV boots, many videos don’t work, I get a message “Unable to play selected file”.

Then after 2-3 minutes, if I try to play the same file, it works.

Video preview also doesn’t work in the first 2-3 minutes after boot.

Try:

resetting the unit by pressing the side paperclip button. Press for about a second and then release with the unit fully booted up.

rest to factory defaults via the internal menu.

unplug from power for some minutes.

do all 3 one after the other. 

Sometimes this helps particularly after a firmware up date.

Noob question: resetting to factory defaults will also rollback the firmware upgrade ?

No, the firmware stays the same but all settings change to their default factory setting.
