Previous WD Raptor boot drive is now slaved via a USB adapter, & cannot initialize

Any ideas?

At this point all I really want is the data off of it. If it can be salvaged and put back into service after I get the data off then great.

HD is a WD3000GLFS (2008)

Win7

EVGA X58

6GB

etc,

In Win 7 disk management sees the drive and asks to initialize. I hit OK then an error. If I plug it into an XP machine I get the same thing.

Try using Recuva or Photorec, if the drive is seen by the computer it could recover the drive.

Thanks but the BIOS didn’t see the drive either. Not from my system of from a system at my work place.

I have RMA’d the drive.

Cheers,

Drew
