I have a MyBook Essential Edition M/N: WD5000C032-002 and the power supply it came with (12V 2A) stopped working. I have another power supply made by Duracell which is 12V 1.7A. Should I use this power supply or not?

I was already at that page and I know it says which power supply to use. Although just because it is rated at 2Amps does that mean it will absolutely draw that amount?
