Power on My Book Live? PLEASE HELP

I just bought My Book Live 3TB. Im using Windows XP. I used WD SmartWare to shut it down. Now I cant turn it back on. I click on the WD SmartWare but it only gives me “About WD SmartWare” option. I tried restarting my computer. That didnt work. Am I going to have to unplug the power then reconnect every time I want to turn it on? Also I go to my computer folder and the My Book Live network drive is disconnected. How can it connect automatically?

Please Help ANYONE

If the drive is of, then you need to unplug it and plug it back on. There is no power button on the drive.

Somewhat similar problem.  My MBL’s power went off and will not turn back on, even when I unplug and replug it in to both the power source and the router.  Right now it is just a brick sitting on the cabinet.

I have same problem with my MBL after using for one day. I don’t know what to do.

After one day?   That’s easy.  Exchange it for a new one.
