Hi I bought a My Book recently in New York. Will this work in the EU? What do I need to do, just get EU power cables? If so, which ones?

My Book power adapter used in US and Europe, both have same power specification but difference is only the plug type.

Plug Type: C/G/N (for Europe)
Plug Type: A (for US)

And same power specifications of My Book external hard drive are:

  • 12 volts
  • 1.5 amps
  • 18 watts
  • Type A
  • Type: NEMA 1-15
  • 5.5mm outer-diameter
  • 2.5mm inner-diameter

However, you can contact nearby store to get compatible power adapter of My Book with C/G/N (for Europe)
