I dropped my 80GB WD passport portable hard drive a month or so ago. It worked fine until yesterday. It all of a sudden stopped showing up in my computer. I am not a techy person, so don’t know the right terminology, but am looking for healp and a way to not have to pay Best Buy $300 to get all of the pictures and movies of my family for the past two years back. All of our music is there as well. I bought a new portable drive to move everything to, but can’t access the files.
I went to disk manager and the drive says Disk 1, Unknow, 18.63GB, Not Initialized and to the right under a black bar it says 18.63 GB unallocated.
When I right click under the black bar, the only option I have is “New Simple Volume” “Properties” and “Help”
When I right click the block of info to the left of the black bar box, I get “Initialize Disk” “Properties” and “Help”
I ran WD Data Lifeguard and go the below errors on my quick test:

Any help in easy to understand directions would be so greatly appreciated. I am freaking out and feel horrible that I may have lost so many of my family’s precious memories!
Please.
Thanks!
