Poor Customer service

Hi,

I purchased My passport essential 500GB ext. HDD from Dallas,TX in Dec-Jan 2010 timeframe.

I brought it back to India and the device malfunctioned in 1st week of Feb.2010 and contacted so called customer care on 15th Feb. and since it was out of region case, REGION code was changed on 25th Feb.,2010.

I was told that it will take 1 week to get my  faulty drive replaced.

Even after so many days,repeated calls and emails , i have no got a clear picture of when i will get my HDD back.

The customer support in India is so lousy that they put you on hold for checking the status and never come back on call !

And the status update from last 4-5 weeks is consistent “We have a shipment delay.Next week it will be delivered to you.”

The email support people don’t even bother to update or reply customers.

I know this might not be the best place to post my grievances but i have no channel to contact WD.

Phone and Email support is not working at all and i would be grateful if some one can intervene and resolve this long peding case.
