i have this wd sharespace 4tb from my boss and its not working. he said check for failed components so i decided to register to wd forums for more ideas before i check the motherboard for components failures. 

problem:

  1. when i plug the wd ss 4tb all lights are up.

  2. when i tried to press the power button it does not respond either the fan wont shuts off.

  3. when i put usb connection going to computer it is not detected.

do you know if is in the mb itself? thank you
