Pls. help., file record segment is unreadable

Please help…I have WD3200BEVT HDD in my notebook…Yesterday everything seems ok…i properly shutdown my notebook just like everytime but on the next day my notebook started to freeze/hang and i waited long hoping to respond but i noticed that its not reading anymore so i press the power to shut it down and turn it on again but the same things happen…I tried to chkdsk /r or /f and it says file record segment is unreadable…

So i decided to OS recovery after the recovery and it restart and the my XP loads but after that it stops at black screen and the computer not responding/reading anymore…

BTW i have 2 partition…my C: is ok but on my D: is my problem…

Hope you’ll consider this problem and hoping for youre respond…

Thanks in advance…

If possible you can try connecting the notebook hard drive as a secondary hard drive on a desktop PC and run a DLG test. If the test completes successfully you can backup all of your important files and format the hard drive to use it again normally, if the test fails, the hard drive would appear to be faulty and needs to be replaced. Check the link below for the steps to run the test.
