Plex will only connect indirect since 20 Apr

I have had my 4tb My Cloud Home working fine with plex for a couple of years now, but ever since 20th April, I can only connect indirectly through the plex app. I have read this article https://www.techradar.com/uk/news/plex-media-streaming-service-has-some-major-security-flaws and seen that new versions of the plex media server have been released, but I can’t update the version on My Cloud Home.

Does anyone have any knowledge of the fix that Plex have put out? Could the update be required to get direct connections again and if so anyone got any experience of how long WD take to react to these things?

Sounds like your ISP made a change in their network. Go to your internet router status page and check if your WAN IP starts with 100.
