Hi,
I have a new 2020 Sony Bravia Tv which has Plex, good!
Plex works lovely with my laptop over the network, smashing!
Installed WD My Cloud home, Plex can find it and all the titles in folders… wicked!
Wont play any of them, full movies or short clips exported from my phone…
tried wireless and ethernet? - done that…
what next?
Your Sony Bravia uses android as it’s core. The old version of Plex that Western Digital have on all MyCloud home devises is over 12 months out of date and no longer works with newer Plex clients. The fix needed is WD has to update the Plex server version on MyCloud home to the current version but seems to ignore this.
