Plex pass required!?

The Manuel of MCH says no Plex pass is required for streaming within the home network. Since there is no alternative app for Android ( for ios I am using evermusic) I would like to use Plex. The app tells me ow to buy a pass and quits after 60 seconds?
Who is right here?

Thanks. That is what I ment. It says No pass is required for a local network. But that is not the case. It is only playing media for one minute at home cause I don‘t have a pass.
