PLEASE URGENT IS NOT POSIBLE, THATS INCREDIBLE, FIRMWARE wd hd gen2

HELLO I HAVE A WD HD GEN 2 WITH THE LAST FIRMWARE OFCIAL THAT YOU EXTRACTED, OF THE YEAR 2009!!!

ONLY I HAVE IT 6 MONTHS AND MY SURPRISE IS THAT IT DOES NOT REPRODUCE THE MKV, THAT YOU ANNOUNCE THAT IF IT DOES IT!

AND IN ADDITION HE REMAINS BLOCKED; IN THE SHOP THEY REPORT TO ME THAT YOU SHOULD SOLVE IT, SINCE IT IS POSSIBLE?

PLEASE IT IS NECESSARY THAT THEY UPDATE IT I HAVE SEEN THAT HAVE REALIZED IT WITH THE WD LIVE, INSIST WE NEED THAT 2 DO IT WITH THE GENE, I AM SURE THAT SHORTLY YOU WERE SETTLING SO I BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE A COMPANY IT WOULD BE

THANK YOU AND A CORDIAL GREETING.

Read  though this forum, WD has apparently stopped  development on the Gen 2, a new firmware will not be released.

It has major issues with MKV and MP4 which WD does not seem to care about resolving.Tell you friends about your experience with WD support

Gets my vote.

It’s unfortunate that the MKVtoolnix dev was so bullheaded about implementing header compression by default but, like he said, it’s part of the MKV spec.

WD should implement a fix for ALL products that state MKV support.  I can see them arguing out of doing so for the Gen1 (being EOL) but the Gen2 isn’t officially unsupported yet.
