I’m not sure if I’m posting this in the correct place but hopefully someone will be able to help me. I have a My Book model number WD10000G032. I have had it for a couple years. I went to access it and was unable so I went to turn it off and restart it. It would not turn off so I unplugged it. Now when I plug it in you can feel the drive doing something but the light does not come on (2 blue rings) and I cannot access it. My computer will not even register that it exists. This was from when I had my business and there is information on it that I need to have. Is there a way to recover the information or even get it working properly again?
What OS are you using now and did you use it on a different OS before? Have you used it before on this PC without problems? Did you try changing USB ports one on the back is preferable? Also try plugging directly into a receptacle instead of a pwoer strip.
