It is being played as 3.0 LPCM, just the front and center speakers. If u switch the audio setting to stereo it still plays the middle speaker. Also it is not playing 5.1 PCM (though I knew about this before I bought this). Dts HD MA core is not being played if u play DTS-HD MA using the optical. The video files have been tested and work on the PS3, the M2TS 5.1 DTS-HD MA core has been tested on the Asus HD2 which work. Even my first computer - 6 years old can play MP4 5.1 AAC through 7600GS Nvidea card using media player classic. I though technology had progressed in the last 5 years. I want new firmware to address these bugs.
The WD Elements Play does not support DTS.
