I have had the wd media player for about 5 mos and now when I plug it in, there is just a blank screen on the tv…
sometime if i unplug for an extended period it will work again.
Why is this happening? I currently am using an hdmi connection…
You could try resetting via the side button using a paperclip. Press for about 4 seconds (no longer) and then release. the unit should reboot.
It could be that the TV is not negotiating the correct HDMI resolution with the WDTV. Try connecting via composite leads and see if it works. You could then set the HDMI resolution to something you know your TV supports.
What WDTV model do you have and what firmware are you running.
