I recently bought a 2 T My passport and the installation has been suboptimal. While I have set a password, when I enter it in WD Discovery, the wheel spins but it doesn’t unlock. I have to use WD Security. I am trying to backup photographs as I import them into Lightroom and click the button to indicate that a copy should be backed up on the My passport drive but each time, it fails and Lightroom indicates it was unable to back up the photos. I understand this could be a permissions problem. What can I do so that My Passport accepts the backup.
You should try to backup Lightroom generated image files after removing the password protection from the My Passport. There may be some file permissions in lightroom which may not allow access to share LightRoom genrated files.
I removed the password but still isn’t backing up to Drive. Is there a permissions script I need to follow?
