I have a WD MyBook 4TB. When it is directly connected to my PC via USB, I can delete folders, etc. The windows permissions appear correct and intact.
However,I attach it to my Netgear router, which can handle USB 3.0. I use it as a DLNA media server. Unfortunately, when it is attached to the router, it doesn’t seem to be mounted as a Windows drive, and there are no file permissions, nor can I set any. Therefore, I cannot delete files and folders.
How can I set permissions when attached to a router? Thanks.
