You have to reboot the device and then it will check for the firmware update. I did it and now I cannot even get into any folder under the network, arg! Why did we have to use the stupid WD Discovery in the first place, i never had any issues with prior drives that did not require WD Discovery. shares were a pain to setup using WD Discovery and even more painful trying to undo. Well done WD!
Don’t forget to log out and back in after the firmware update. I think that was my problem.
