Password

Just installed My Cloud and went to access it via my desktop.  I clicked the My Cloud icon, up came the connect screen asking for which device and then it said “connect device manually”.  I clicked on that as I have no other way of connecting to My Cloud.  Next screen then asked for a user name and password.

I was never asked to create a password and now cannot get passed that page.

Anyone have any insight?

I did email WD via the Customer Support Portal but they sent a message back saying may take up to 24 hours or more.  

You don’t need to use the My Cloud app when you’re on your home network.

But if you’re remote, then you need to have password protection set on the users you’re setting up for Cloud access.

I went to http://MyBookLive to try to set up remote access for myselt and others.  When the website comes up, enter my password, which I just reset, and it keeps saying invalid password.  it also does not give an option to reset it.  Can you help me?

after you register your email on the NAS, an email will be sent to you.

In that email, you will be navigated to a website that requests you to login. 

Then, you may click on forgot your password?

The system will send you an email to reset your password then.
