how do i give password to a folder or a subfolder in My Cloud ex2 Ultra, so that some files that i dont wanted to share cannot freely openned by other people. Thank you
Generally all subfolders inherit the permissions from the Share. The My Cloud Dashboard only sets permissions on the Share level not subfolders.
One workaround is to create a new Share with permission set to block those users and move the subfolders or files into that new Share.
Something that may/or may not work. If using Windows one could see if right clicking on the subfolder and changing it’s permissions via Properties > Security > Advanced. To see if that has any effect.
