Passport Ultra will not allow me to set up a Backup Schedule

My apologies if this question has been asked a million times. I have installed the software for my Ultra. I try to set up a backup schedule. I select my device, I set the frequency, and select my files. I then select backup files and I get the message that no Backup schedule has been created. WTF is going on. I am thinking I made a poor selection for a backup product.

I downloaded the Acronis and now get the message no new WD hardware found. Can you help me? Please do not send me to the manual for Acronis as it does not address this particular issue.
