My desktop recognizes the drive but that is it. I can drag and drop to it but it will not back up my PC. I have already talked to support and they recomended trying it on another computer. It worked great on my laptop just like it should. Both systems are running XP. I have tried over and over to backup and setup from the original screen but it stops just after it gets to about 1 min. left on the install. It has to be my desktop but I can not figure it out why . Any suggestions?
You may need a power booster cable. It’s possible that your pc is not putting out enough power through USB to power the drive.
Where do Power Booster Cables come from? I cannot believe we should need one to run this, however.
