Passport keeps trying to shut down. Error message

I keep getting an annoying pop up message:

I cannot find any WD software. Also the Passport has powered off and self ejected. Anyone else have this problem?

You can try reset the computer, try a different USB port, a different USB cable and as a last resort  a different computer.
