My old Passport Essential drive allowed me to make a disk image in order to recover after hard disk failures and continuous data backups as well. I read somewhere that the new drives do not allow for creation of a disk image…is this correct?
You would need some third party sofrware to make images. Macrium, EaseUS and Paragon have free versions of imaging software. Acronis True Image is try and buy.
