I am not very technical. I have bought a WDTV to store my music collection on. It works well - I use a HDMI cable to connect the box to my tv and then have audio output to my stereo amplifier.
However, I have found that some audio files are missing one channel, often the main vocal. This does not affect all files. A good example are the Beatles from the new boxed set. Some files miss the main vocal while playing. I have swapped to stereo output for the audio (making the necessary changes in settings) and the problem persists.
