Open IPv6 Ports for Samba, AFP etc. on EX2 for remote acces via OSX's finder

Hi there,

I only have an external IPv6 address and DS-lite, therefore I cannot access my NAS over the internet via IPv4. So I assigned my EX2 a IPv6 address and it is accessibly via browser.

However, I also want to remotly connect to my EX2 via Samba and AFP to attach the drive to the Finder on Mac OSX. Unfortunately, the Samba (445), AFP (548) and other ports, which are accessibly over IPv4, are closed on the My Cloud EX2 via IPv6. Only HTTP and HTTPS are open via IPv6.

How can I connect to my EX2 via Samba or AFP for remote access to my NAS via OSX’s Finder? How can I open those ports for IPv6 traffic? Or are there any other solutions that enable me to access my EX2 via IPv6?

Here’s what nmap shows me for IPv4…
PORT STATE SERVICE
22/tcp open ssh
80/tcp open http
139/tcp open netbios-ssn
443/tcp open https
445/tcp open microsoft-ds
548/tcp open afp
3306/tcp open mysql
8181/tcp open unknown
49154/tcp open unknown

and for IPv6…
PORT STATE SERVICE
22/tcp open ssh
80/tcp open http
443/tcp open https

That’s why I assumed that it might be a port issue, however, if I missed something I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks a lot in advance,
Simon
