If you plug one of the compatible/supported wireless adapters into the WDTVLIVEPLUS, does the “Update System” function find/install the latest drivers? If not, how do you go about doing that?
No. The drivers for the approved and tested adaptors are within the firmware. Actually the drivers are for particular chipsets so therefore you may find that adaptors not on the list also work. The problem with the adaptors is that for some reason the manufacturers tend to change the chipset without changing the model number, they just add a version / revision number. This means that the ‘new’ adaptor will not work with the WDTV. The whole thing is a minefield.
