Although it seems that the refresh module works, after restart or swich off, not all the photes are being updated. It seems that there is a threshold of around 65 photos per file. Is there something that I miss> Thank you for the help.

Try resetting the WDTV device, otherwise you will need to contact WD’s technical support. You can do so either by phone or email.
