No sound in certain moview

Help!!

I have connected the wd player to tv via component + red& white cables ( for sound).

I connet my drive to via USB.

Certain movies (avi format) have no sound.

While other avi have great sound.

Prob#2 Atnight I watch tv while listening to headphones from my Monitor out- on the tv.

WD does not stream any sound thru my headphones…watching movies thru my dvd/ tv/ pc allows sound via headphones…Help!!!
