No Sound from Videos recorded from Cable TV

Just got my WD Elements Play today and began transferring video files from my internal hard drive to the WDEP.

FYI the video files had been recorded from the Foxtel IQ2hd set-top box using the Hauppauge Colossus HD Video recording card as .ts files, with audio via the TOS cable.

On test, some files played fine, regardless of whether the sound track was stereo or Dolby Digital 5.1.  But some files played the video, but no sound.

On loading two of the files into my Video Redo to inspect the audio codec, discovered they were AAC, while sample files that did have sound playback had ac3 codec.

Resaved from Video Redo, but used options to change sound output to Layered Mpeg-2.
