No My Book Live found on new router

Hello,

I have new router for My Book Live, but when I am about to install it, the installer says “No My Book Live found”.

I have make sure that :

  • the network lights on the back of the harddrive look correct (bottom solid green, upper light flashing green)
  • the internet connection is working properly
  • the My Book Live and my pc are on the same Workgroup

But, the installer always says No My Book Live Found.

I have tried to reset the My Book Live. >>>> still not found

Note : I still have the old router and can connect to My Book Live as I connect to the network. The old router is slower than my new router, I want to change it to new router with the faster connection speed. But this problem show up.

Please help me to solve this problem.

Hi GiovannaR,

You should check the Network section of My Book Live. It should be set in DHCP Network Mode. If not, you need to set it from the dashboard then power down the device and reboot it. If it is in DHCP, your router will assign new IP and DNS after reboot of device.
