I loaded DVD’s onto a USB connected drive in 2 versions:
straight downloading the VIDEO-TS directory with all files included
creating an ISO image from the DVD
In both cases the DVD plays immediately, starting from the beginning, without the menu options.
Is there something I miss?
Configuration: Input WD USB connected drive, Output AV (not HDMI or component)

What firmware are you using. The DVD menus’s are only on the WDTV Live Plus and the WDTV LIve with the beta firmware.

thanks for the reply. The current version is 1.02.21 and checking for update I am told it’s current.
How do I get the beta version as my unit is WD TV Live - not …plus

but i think the BETA firmware has been taken down. if you are connected to the interenet with your WDTV, it will automatically ask you for official updates, but i believe the DVD MENU firmware update was a BETA. if all goes well, it will be officially released soon.

The beta is not currently available from WD. The new firmware should be out soon (we hope).
