I had to reinstall my windows so I wanted to restore files from my backup, Passport Ultra, only it shows no restore details. File manager clearly shows tons of files so how do I restore everything?

WD Backup allows to restore previous back up files during the initial set up wizard. You should make sure, the WD Backup Setup screen is not closed and Back up Files is not clicked in set up wizard. If the WD Backup Setup screen is closed or Backup Files is started, the original computer backups will not be visible in WD Backup.
WD backup restore must be done during the initial set up wizard. If the WD Backup software is already installed then WD Backup must be uninstalled. You may refer below KBA for more details:
