No 5GHz support on the new SMP box?

So If I get a Live Hub this device will definitely 100% be 802.11n 5GHz compatible?

I finding my 500GB or so of storage is running out REALLY fast. On top of that, I will have to buy a device for one more tv which is in the bedroom. I need a wi-fi extender for it to reach to the bedroom. They don’t make a wi-fi extender for 5GHz. So I could move this smp box to the bedroom and get a hub and that solves the problems without having to ship anything back etc etc.

I just want to make absolutely positively sure the Hub is going to work with the 5GHz side since I will be streaming off this box and not just to it.

With the appropriate USB adapter, yes.

And WD DOES make a 5 Ghz extender, as do a number of other vendors.

the problem is not the hardware, the problem is with your set up and not knowing how to use it

and at 20 - 25 ft away, plus whatever walls etc, it must go through, good luck with that

btw, here’s some actually speed test results for powerline and for 2.4ghz wifi on the SMP
