I remember back to the first gen My-book drives which ran too hot during heavy use and had a bad design/cooling.
Did a great job of cooking themselves and not much else back then.
Now Wd put serious effort into beta testing and support the products after release which is nice to see from a company these days.
So many put a product and support goes poof leaving the buyer with hardware that may often have flaws and no way to fix it (routers come to mind)
Makes me wonder when it became common place for hardware makers to think people are sheep and well just put up with such treatment.
