The Gen 4 WDTV player has been discontinued. I called the online store Customer Service, there’s a new model that should be available next week: WDBYMN0000NBK-HESA.
Is it just revision of software or hardware change? Or physical apparence will change too??

The Model number part “WDBYMN0000NBK” is the NTSC Model (other model listed below)
But i don’t understand the product code part “HESA” … it doesnt match up on the internal coding chart (only “E” matches up … which means “External”
As this was over the phone and it wasn’t that clear, it’s quite possible I misheard part of the model number. I haven’t seen any photos as this was a conversation. I suggest calling the online store to get the correct information.
ok … HESN makes more sense then E=External SN=Standard

They probably meant to say Gen 3 (WDTV Live Streaming) discontinued
And … WDBYMN0000NBK-HESN was released a year ago December 2014
dunno what this “next week” business means ? … maybe that’s when WD will have new stock ?
But, you can buy one from Amazon right now if you want one
