New WD Purple models really CMR?

I am curious about the new WD Purple models that just released, which are: wd22purz, wd42purz and wd63purz. The datasheet mentions that they are CMR, but I’m wondering if this is actually correct. Their specs appear very close to other already existing SMR models like WD Blue wd60ezaz. Can you confirm with engineering that the specs are correct and if possible explain how the higher efficiency, ie lower power, less noise and less weight, of these drives, compared to the existing Wd Purple like wd62purz, is achieved?

Hi @MatcherResisting,

These wd22purz, wd42purz device are CMR.
