I just got one of the new style (square corners) My Passport external drives. It can not be seen by WD utilities nor cannot be seen by WD Security. I installed latest updates for those programs. They see old style external drives with no problems.
Windows 10 is seeing the new drive and I reading and writing with no problem.
Could not find a working firmware updater software link for the new drive. Do not know if any firmware updates are required.
