New portable drive for WDTV Live SMP

Hi All,

I posted a little while ago, saying I needed more capacity and never actually got round to getting anything, so here I am again.

Is there any difference between the types of USB HDD, for example, the following 3

Which would you recommend for connecting to a WD Live SMP?

Thanks,

Dom

All of the drives you have listed should work with the WD TV Live SMP.

It will be a matter of deciding what features you want.

If you are looking for portability, then the My Passport models will be your best bet.

Thanks for the response.

Without being too technical, what are the advantages for the more expensive drives?  All I want it to do is be plugged into my WDTV Live SMP and hold lots of video files.

Thanks,

Dom
