also encountered this problem. After troubleshooting my own network failure, I initially suspected that wd had changed the activation server address, and the device was purchased earlier and has not been unopened. The latest firmware has been updated, causing the device to be unable to access the activation server.

Nobody here knows where your are located but we can all guess.

How do you know that the My Cloud Home could be authenticated in China behind the GFW? The site ‘prod-gateway.wdckeystone.com’ is blocked all over China.

Doesn’t really matter…wdckeystone server is blocked everywhere there. If you have access to Synology SSL VPN, this is a tip from Reddit set up the Synology SSL VPN and use that. It uses port 443 and China normally doesn’t block that. They always block the standard ports for OpenVPN and L2TP. I keep all 4 of those VPNs set up. One of them has always worked. [image]
