How do I connect the new My Cloud app to the MPW?
Nevermind… Ive figured it out… The app is just buggy and the button was off the screen since it insists on being landscape and not portrait on my phone now (it never did in the past)

You should have a look on the manual of My Passport Wireless and refer page #11 to access My Passport Wireless using My Cloud Mobile App.

Yes I am aware of how to connect (having owned the device for a year and a
half and having built custom firmware for it)
The problem is that in the recent versions of the app, issues have been
introduced which were not present before.
The older app worked fine, the new one keeps asking me to setup a feature
that the my wireless passport doesn’t even support after I have already
selected the correct device and connected.
