New My Book 4TB not not seen on network

I just purchased the My Book 4TB to be my backup for Time Machine. When I selected My Book disc as my back up, I received a message to erase the disc before I proceeded. After I erased it, I can no longer see the disc on the network.

What the heck, how do I set this up.

After erasing the drive, you need to check the file format of drive. My Book must be formatted as HFS+ in order to be used with Time Machine.
