New HE12 install problems

Hi all sorry for the newbie but I need help
I have just bought a HE12tb for my pc, I hear it spin so its getting power
when I go into bios its there, diskmanager shows it greyed out and cannot do anything apart from change letter

I used discpart but after following instructions it couldn’t be formatted du to MBR,
all downloaded programs to install fail to see it.

all hgst utilities don’t see it

am I missing something please
im on win 10 i7-8 and the drive is a second drive for files

Since this post is dated Jun’19, were you able to find a solution ?

pretty sure u need to be using uefi system to fully see these. am i right you have your systems set to legacy?
